Kent Horse Products Supplement with Selenium Yeast

Selenium yeast is a source of organic selenium in which selenium is compounded with mostly amino acids. These compounds are more easily digested, metabolized, and retained in tissues.
Selenium has several key roles in equine nutrition, but the most well known is as a key element in antioxidant defense, which makes it important in every cell of the body as well in immune defense. Other basic processes requiring selenium for normal function include growth, disease defense, and reproduction.
Selenium yeast provides a safe and effective means of improving the selenium status of horses. This is especially true for horses involved in athletic work, gestation, lactation, or semen production in the stallion.
