Twelve-year-old Mesa Leavitt began 2008 by making history in the rodeo world.

This 12 year old Dynamo and her 13-year-old horse Junior’s Genuine Doc won the International Professional Rodeo world title for the second year in a row.  They made history by becoming the only contestants in the 38-year history of the IPRA to sweep first place in all four rounds on the way to the championship.

But that wasn't enough.  In the summer of 2008 Mesa and Junior won the Josey Jr. World, The All-American Youth Race, and the NBHA Youth World.  She become the first person ever to achieve the Triple Crown status of Barrel racing.

Kent feeds is proud to sponsor Mesa Leavitt and her 20 plus horses.  With Mesa living and training only 15 minutes from our headquarters it is a pleasure watching her success either live, on the web, or in person at her farm.

Her parents Richard and Heidi Leavitt are very proud of her continued success. "This is the our best season ever for a barrel horse in youth and Junior has performed better this year than any other year. This is also the year we started feeding Kent Feeds."

Mesa said that her horses love being on the KENT feeding program.  In fact, she said "The reason my horses run so fast is because there is Kent Feeds back at the trailer."

Come January 2009 Mesa plans to win her third consecutive world title.  We are hoping she does just that.
