Although many nutritional supplements have been shown to improve your horse’s overall health and performance, it can be a challenge when selecting these supplements and keeping them in balance. Why pelleted feed?
The use of pelleted grain products by horse owners has grown tremendously. The pellet is more digestible than most sweet feeds, attracts fewer flies, does not freeze, and prevents sorting of ingredients (i.e. nutrients). Pellets may also produce a lower glycemic response than sweet feeds, so feeding a pelleted feed product may actually help prevent a horse from getting “hyper” or over-responding to sugar. DYNASTY® contains a minimum of molasses and has approximately 25% to 50% less starch than oats.
Design your feeding program.
A feeding program based on the weight, activity level, life stage, and body condition of your horse helps keep it healthy and productive. To assist in formulating a dietary program for your horse, use the calculated digestible energy (Kcal/lb) of DYNASTY® products printed below. A Kent or Evergreen representative can help you design a specialized feeding program for your horse.
For performance horses fed a large amount of grain and for special needs horses sensitive to dietary starch, knowing an estimated starch concentration in the feed product is important. The following are analyzed starch concentration estimates (includes simple sugars and starch) of the DYNASTY® products. Please realize that ingredient and analytical variations exist.
